The relationship aspect also felt forced. More time was spent talking about monster creation/mana control than some plot aspects. Which is slightly par for the course in the series.Ī lot happened in the background and then was forced in. There were some non sequitur plot-ish jokes that sometimes distracted from the story. There was so much in the book that a lot of the plot threads felt rushed or forced. But I didn't feel like it was much more than that.
